Happy Holidays!

We spent our first Christmas Holiday in Puyallup.  While it was odd not being in the Tri-Cities, It was a lot of fun! We spent Christmas eve over at the Haight's house with their family and our friends the Greens.  Tara made a big pot of spaghetti and we got a great chance to hang out and visit with our friends! Uncle Brian and Aunt Karen got the kids crazy cars that can crash into each other - the beginning of Michael and his car obsession!  Afterward we headed back to our house to hurry into bed so Santa would be able to stop by!

My parents and sister met us back at our house for a sleepover (or non-sleepover as the case
may be!) Poppie and Lizzie finished up a note for Santa and his "Raindeeah"  The kids got new jammies from great grama and grampa Lampson to wear for Christmas Eve and Christmas morning.  I remember getting new pj's on christmas eve from my great grandparents - it is a great memory!

It was Sammie's first Christmas and we are pretty sure she had fun! Not
much of a clue - but that is pretty much our family!  Aren't they cute little chickens!

Winter 2008-2009

Our little Snow angels!! We got a ton of snow this year and had fun playing in all of that crazy white stuff!  Mike was much more tentative in heading out there to actually play in the snow - he isn't really into getting cold.  But an hour or so later after some snowball fights with Dad and Lizzie, Torey had to drag him in by his little snowpants!

They definitely know the rules.  I asked them what was the most important rule when they were outside - thinking they would say "stay away from the road" but instead the rule they remembered was "don't eat yellow snow."  Very good.  Ok , also an important rule!

Sammy - 1 Day Old

Sammy has been growing by leaps and bounds.... not really, but she really looks much different today than yesterday. She doesn't have the puffy newborn look as much and so far has been really content.

Samantha Emerson Azure

7 lbs, 15 oz
20" long

Samantha was born a
t 7:53 7/31/2008. She is a very pretty little girl. Dr. Penalver saw her and declared her healthy.

We can have visitors today, but I'm not sure how Jennifer will be feeling. She is awake and feeding Sam right now.

Continuing the surgery prep.

Jenn has her IV installed and they have some sort of fluid flowing???

The nurses are introducing themselves - I forgot all of their names already.

I seem to be doing much better since I found the Starbucks - now its just sit and wait. Only about 50 more minutes and we should be in business.

They asked me what size for the scrubs...... XL.

We've Arrived

We arrived for what was told to me would be a quick check in because we had already had a "PRE" check in. It wasn't that fast.

We are now in the "PRE" surgery room and things seem to be going smoothly.
